Gus versus the pool

And who says that perseverance and tenacity don’t pay off?

Go, Gus!  Go!!

Denver… are you guilty?

Denver very guilty dog

This video has been going around since March this year, but is well worth posting.  If you have not seen Denver and his enormous guilt-complex, then you should watch this.  If you have, well… it’s worth watching again. I have many times….

Mouth-to-mouth treat time

I absolutely LOVE how gentle this dog is in getting his treat from this toddler…

The bread bandit…

The bread bandit dog

Caught in action….  I’m sure many of us have had this experience.  One time, I was dog-sitting a Great Dane who helped himself to the entire package of green mint Oreo cookies while I was gone.  Needless to say, as he was outside doing his duty, the green food coloring made it all the way from the entrance to the exit.  Ewwww…

Jerry needs no help playing with his ball. Dog catapult machine.

jerry and his catapault machine

According to the description in the video:

I built the ball machine because I thought my dog Jerry, might like it and that it would be something fun for me to build. So after two years of on and off work, with many safety features such as IR proximity sensors to protect Jerry and my son from the machine, I finally complete.

Far from being a replacement for me, I was always right there with him enjoying his fun. And with all the troubles that I went through to build the ball machine, I still end up throwing more balls than that the machine could count! According to the computer, he played with the machine by himself only 3 times in his life.

I recently put this video on YouTube to keep alive my earlier memories of him and (hopefully) provide some “humorous distractions” for anyone that might drop by.

Please enjoy the video.

Personal note:  I know some people sniffle at this creation, “You should spend more time with your dog throwing the ball yourself…” etc.  Well, let’s face it and be real.  Life keeps us busy, joints and muscles get old and tired, and so on.  I would love to spend all my time playing with my dogs, but just cannot.  I think this is great!  If you notice, this dachshund has quite a bit of gray… excellent way to help keep an older dog active.
